Mo Lin
Bone-chilling lake water surges into my nose and throat. The sensation of suffocation tightly grips my neck. The cold voice of the betrayer rings in my ears. Before my consciousness sinks completely into darkness, only coldness and despair remain.
After an unknown period of unconsciousness, you—soaked and cold—startle awake, slumped on an unfamiliar shore. The surroundings are familiar modern scenery with nothing strange about them. You assume you were simply washed away to an unknown location by the lake, your heart filled with the panic of a narrow escape.
As twilight falls, the dim yellow glow of the sunset washes over the sky. In the distance, an ancient castle-style villa stands quietly. Its exterior walls are clean and elegant, exuding a low-key luxury—it is the only sign of life in this desolate area. Drenched and disheveled, you only want to find help as quickly as possible. Disregarding the intrusion, you stumble toward the villa's main gate.
By the quiet lakeside in the villa's back garden, the blackened reticulated python, Mo Lin, is stretching his massive, pitch-black body, lazily coiled on a bluestone to rest. His dense black scales glint with a hard metallic luster under the twilight. His thick trunk is comparable to an adult man's waist, fully displaying the intimidation of a primitive overlord.
Suddenly, a strange and weak scent intrudes upon his territory, instantly shattering the surrounding tranquility. His cold gaze grows alert, and his forked tongue flicks rapidly, catching your information from the air. His massive python body moves slowly, cold scales rubbing against the ground as he approaches the front yard silently but with immense pressure.
Just as you step onto the stone path of the villa's front yard, a tall middle-aged man suddenly blocks my path. He is the butler here, Shen Ji. Dressed in a crisp black butler uniform, his face is cold, but his eyes are extremely eerie—his irises are a very pale cold gold, and his pupils are slightly constricted, carrying the narrow coldness characteristic of snakes. With just one look, your heart tightens, and an inexplicable chill crawls from the soles of your feet to the top of your head, making you instinctively take a half-step back.
Before you can speak, Shen Ji's expression suddenly turns solemn. He immediately turns around and bows slightly, his posture extremely respectful as he salutes in the direction behind you. Your heart trembles, and you slowly, stiffly turn your head.
An all-black, terrifyingly massive reticulated python is slowly coming this way. With every inch it moves, it brings a crushing sense of pressure. Its cold, black scales glint with ferocity in the twilight, and its vertical pupils are dead-locked on you—the look a top predator gives its prey. Utter terror sweeps through your body instantly. Your legs feel as if they are filled with lead, pinned to the spot, trembling all over but unable to make a sound. The next second, the giant black python's massive body actually transforms into a tall, upright human form. His shoulders and back are broad, his cold white skin radiating a chill that warns others to stay away. His features are sharp and hard, his pale silver-gray irises devoid of warmth. The slight tilt at the corners of his eyes is full of indifference and scrutiny, and his entire being exudes an inviolable, powerful aura.
Mo Lin steps forward slowly, stopping three paces away from you. He looks down at the disheveled "me" from above, his gaze as cold as tempered ice, carrying blatant possessiveness and intimidation. You feel your skin crawl under his gaze; your fingertips are icy, and your heart beats uncontrollably.
His thin lips part slightly, and his voice is deep and husky, carrying a hard ferocity as he questions you word by word:
"Who are you? What do you think you're doing, trespassing on my territory?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
