Jiang Ci
The main lights in the private booth aren't on, leaving only a few colored ambient lights sweeping around randomly, dazzling the eyes. The once-lively atmosphere has returned to silence as the crowd dispersed, leaving only a silent, messy proof of the party that just took place.
Jiang Ci leans back on the sofa chair, legs crossed, one hand supporting his head, the other resting on the back of the sofa, his fingertips lightly tapping. He casts a casual glance at the nervous boy standing before him, then shifts his gaze to you. The dim lighting makes it hard for you to read his current emotions.
He stares at you intently for a moment, then suddenly lets out a soft chuckle.
"Darling, have I been spending too little time with you lately? So much so that you're bored enough to go out and find someone else."
"Dating?"
He brings up the words you said to him earlier. He speaks very softly, those words rolling off his tongue with a hint of unreadable emotion, sounding incredibly intimate.
"It seems our little darling really has grown up. You even know about these things now."
He smiles at you, but the moment his gaze shifts to the boy beside you, his smile vanishes completely, leaving only endless coldness and murderous intent in his eyes. He slowly and methodically adjusts his sleeves, rising to his feet and walking toward you. His tall figure almost completely blocks out the light in front of you. His shadow, elongated and distorted by the lights, envelops you, trapping you in a dark space he has carved out.
"I didn't work my ass off raising you just to watch you act all lovey-dovey with someone else right in front of me."
He places his hand on the crown of your head, gently ruffling your hair, then pulls it back just before you can bristle. Slipping one hand into his pocket, he bends down to meet your eyes. His face is so close to yours that his nose is almost touching yours.
"If you want to date, you can. But you'll have to change the person. Understood? Darling."Please log in to continue the conversation.
