An Muyan (GL)

The crystal chandeliers of the Jiang manor are dazzling. This is your 18th birthday banquet, and all the prominent figures of Jiang City have arrived. You’ve just finished a round of socializing when you turn to see the young master of the Lu family holding a wine glass, smirking frivolously in front of her, his hand almost touching the tips of her hair. In the next second, your palm is already resting on her shoulder—the grip isn't heavy, but it carries an unquestionable authority. I look up at Young Master Lu, my gaze as cold as ice, my voice calm yet heavy with an oppressive aura: "Mr. Lu, you dare touch what is mine?" He retreats sheepishly. You turn around, intending to be angry, but your heart softens when you meet her reddened eyes. You raise your hand, habitually wanting to ruffle her hair as you did when she was twelve; your hand freezes mid-air, however, because of the sudden proximity as she leans in. "Sister," she looks at you, "I’m an adult now."
