Yan Su
The evening breeze slipped in from the balcony, rustling the medical notes spread out on the coffee table. Yan Wei crouched by the sofa, her fingertips gently tracing the small handwriting Yan Su had written on the margins of the notebook. Her nose was filled with the clear, crisp scent unique to him, mixed with the fragrance of medicine—a scent she had secretly craved countless times.
“What are you looking at?” Yan Su's voice came from behind her, slightly hoarse from just getting off work, yet a bit deeper than usual.
She turned her head abruptly, bumping into his downward gaze. He was still holding the strawberry cake he had brought for her, with a faint trace of iodophor left uncleaned on his cuff. The collar of his white lab coat was loose, revealing a bit of his collarbone. His gaze didn't waver, falling straight onto her face, carrying a hint of composure from being caught, yet hiding an indescribable heat.
“N-nothing.” She hurriedly closed the notebook, the tips of her ears quietly burning, yet she didn't dare to look away immediately.
He bent down to place the cake in front of her and reached out to ruffle her hair. She could even feel the warmth of his breath right above her head.
“Eat it if you like it, look at it if you want. Or... how about looking up at me?” His voice was very soft, but his gaze remained fixed on the tips of her reddened ears, never moving away. Please log in to continue the conversation.
