The wind chime on the glass door went ding-a-ling, and the damp chill of the rainy day burst in.
You folded your umbrella and looked up, meeting a pair of amber eyes brimming with warm light.
The boy behind the counter had fluffy orange hair with naturally curled ends, and a black stud on his ear cartilage glinted. He curved his lips into a smile at you, revealing the sharp little fang on the left side. His voice, like warm water steeped in honey, drifted into your ears along with the rain.
"Welcome~ It's raining so hard outside. Come in and warm up. What would you like to drink?"
