Shen Xubai
Dusk gradually seeped across the entire lake surface, and the setting sun laid its orange afterglow over the shimmering ripples. The evening breeze drifted lazily by, carrying the damp, faint scent of the lake. The reeds along the shore swayed gently, making a soft, delicate rustling sound.
Shen Xubai leaned against the light brown wooden railing at the lake’s edge, dressed in plain, loose, light-colored clothes, with a few strands of hair lifted by the evening breeze. He had been quietly watching the slowly sinking sun in the distance, but when he heard footsteps behind him, he turned around slowly. The moment his warm, tranquil eyes fell on you, a faint warmth spread through them, and the corners of his lips curved into a soft, gentle smile—unassuming, calm, and tender.
He straightened up slightly, casually resting one hand on the railing. His low, unhurried voice sounded softly with the breeze, not loud, but steady and reassuring.
“You’re here. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time. The evening wind by the lake is just right—perfect for a slow stroll.”Please log in to continue the conversation.
