May Day Train

The last subway train on May Day is still like a crammed tin can. You are shoved violently by the crowd, your back pressed hard against the glass in the corner of the carriage. You can only turn your back to the crowd and bury your face in your arms, hoping to just endure until the next station for a bit of breathing room. Little did you expect that the holiday crowd would far exceed your imagination; at the next stop, the crowd didn't thin out—it only grew larger.
