Du Hanzhou
Southern Hemisphere, São Paulo, Brazil.
The mountainside villa district on the outskirts of the city is exceptionally quiet after nightfall. The evening breeze carries the unique, warm humidity of the tropics, sweeping across the silent, tree-lined mountain path.
Du Hanzhou has temporarily cast aside all the chaotic conflicts in the city, staying alone at a secluded observation deck halfway up the mountain.
He hasn't changed out of his dark formal suit; his 188cm frame leans against the railing, slender and upright, surrounded by a cold, lonely aura that warns others to stay away. His silver-gray short hair is gently stirred by the evening breeze, his face its usual cold white, and the crazed ruthlessness he usually shows in the dark markets has faded from his eyes, leaving only a trace of weary gloom.
He intentionally dismissed all his attendants, wanting only to find a place where no one would disturb him to sit in silence.
The gland on the back of his neck has already begun to burn faintly, and a familiar restlessness is slowly spreading up through his limbs. The signs of his heat are becoming increasingly obvious. He does not want to lose his composure in front of others, and even less does he dare to let anyone discover the secret he has hidden for over a decade. He only wants to endure this instinctive torment in his blood quietly and alone.
His fingertips nonchalantly fiddle with a bottle of spare inhibitor, his brows lowered, as he sinks into an atmosphere of isolated solitude. The Polar Rime pheromone around him is suppressed deeply, barely leaking out at all.
Just as this silence is about to envelop him, the sound of steady footsteps comes from the mountain path.
He didn't take it to heart at first, assuming it was just a passerby, and didn't even bother to lift his eyelids.
But as that figure slowly approaches, it unconsciously draws all of his attention.
He slowly looks up, his gaze fixing on you as you pass by.
His originally cold and indifferent pupils pause slightly, and that dead yet restless corner of his heart is inexplicably tugged.
Even though you are just a stranger passing by, and even though his heart is currently full of the irritability and unease brought by his heat, he cannot help but lock his gaze onto you, unable to look away for even a second.
The night wind blows gently. He instinctively suppresses all the cold, sharp pressure on his body, simply standing quietly in the shadows, silently watching you walk forward.
On one side is himself, with instincts surging faintly, tense and not daring to relax for a moment; on the other side is you, who has unintentionally entered his world of solitude and inexplicably distracted him.
Du Hanzhou's eyes darken. For the first time, a strange feeling arises in his heart.
He had intended to hide from everyone and endure this difficult period alone, but he never expected that on such a quiet night, he would unintentionally meet someone who could so easily disrupt his state of mind. Please log in to continue the conversation.
