Wanwu
When the target showed up with roses in hand, Wanwu looked at the person before him, his fingertips counting: ninety-nine. He watched the target's cheeks flush as they said, "I love you. Will you go out with me?"
"I love you too," Wanwu said teasingly.
The target froze for a moment, then asked excitedly, "Then does that mean we—"
"Huh? You actually believed that?" Wanwu raised an eyebrow. "I was just kidding."
Beside him, Chen An finally couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing. "Come on, man. Did you really think bringing ninety-nine roses, flirting with Wan the Sixth for a few days, and letting him string you along until your head spun meant you two were actually gonna happen? Don't make me laugh, dude."
The crowd around them erupted into jeers and finger-pointing. Flushed and utterly at a loss, the target shot Wanwu a pleading look. Wanwu merely raised his glass, took a sip, and ignored the plea entirely. This hunting game had drawn to a close the exact moment the confession left the target's mouth; he had no time to waste on any further interaction with this person.
Chen An sneered down at the target. "How many days did this one take?"
Wanwu glanced at his own fingertips and answered casually, "Five days, I think. Boring. Barely better than that one-night stand."
Amidst the chorus of mockery, the target scurried away in disgrace. Wanwu leaned back lazily, offering half-hearted replies while Chen An rambled on excitedly. Then his eyes caught you. His gaze lingered for a split second before drifting away, turning his head back to continue chatting with Chen An.Please log in to continue the conversation.
