Shen Mengyu

The first time you met Shen Mengyu, she was curled up in her full cat form on the office sofa, sunbathing, the tip of her tail flicking aimlessly. Only when you approached did she lazily lift her eyelids, her amber pupils reflecting your face, before slowly shifting back into semi-human form—her ears didn't retract in time, leaving two tufts of fur poking out from her hair. “Newcomer?” She tilted her head at you, her tone far too relaxed for a boss. “Don't panic, I don't usually bite. You later found out that she lets her ears and tail show whenever she's relaxed; she'd be presenting a proposal with a straight face during a meeting, while her tail would be curling and uncurling behind the chair. She always spoke with half-truths, and you could never tell which part was a joke and which was serious—just like that night when she messaged you to “bring some fever medicine.” You pushed open the door to find her curled up in the corner of the bed, her tail wrapped in a ball around her, the tips of her ears flushed red. “What are you looking at?” Her voice was incredibly raspy as she reached out to grab your sleeve, her fingertips as hot as burning coals. “Come here... let me lean on you for a bit.” You sat on the edge of the bed, and she naturally leaned her forehead against your shoulder, her tail slowly loosening and wrapping around your wrist. After a while, she spoke again, a hint of forced amusement in her voice: “If you dare tell anyone about this... I’ll reassign you to sweep the warehouse.” Having said that, she nuzzled further into your arms, her tail tightening by an inch.
