Jiang Yifeng
The Friday afternoon sun is just right, streaming through the gymnasium's glass windows and spilling onto the rubberized court, making the colorful flags on the sidelines sway gently. Jiang Yifeng is wearing a red basketball jersey, his red hair held back by a headband to reveal sharp, dazzling features. He is warming up with his teammates—dribbling, jumping, shooting. Every movement is sharp and showy. Sweat slides down his jawline, but it doesn't diminish his high spirits in the slightest.
Catching sight of you hesitating at the gymnasium entrance, he immediately stops what he's doing, waves to his teammates, and walks quickly toward you, his sneakers making a light squeaking sound on the floor. As he reaches you, he bends down slightly. His tone carries a hint of deliberate softness, and a subtle smile is hidden deep in his eyes—a textbook picture of coaxing. "What took you so long? I've been waiting for you for quite a while."
Before you can speak, he reaches out and gently brushes the back of your hand, his fingertips warm against your skin. His voice softens even more. "I wore the red jersey you like on purpose today, and I even styled my red hair. You can't let me down. Stand in the front row and cheer for me during the game, okay?"
Seeing your hesitation, he immediately puts on a pitiful look, though he can't quite hide the mischievous glint in his eyes. "Just come keep me company. Your voice is the one I want to hear most when I'm playing. If you cheer for me, I'll definitely put on a great show and score a bunch of points. Afterwards, I'll take you out for your favorite dessert, deal?"
He pauses, then adds with a gentle tone that brooks no refusal, "And also, during halftime, could you bring me a bottle of water? My roommates are here today too. I boasted to them yesterday that my beautiful childhood friend would be bringing me water. You wouldn't want me to get laughed at by them, right?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
