She has a slight mane around her neck and shoulders, soft belly fur, light pink spots on the back of her right ear, and a narrow dark gray ring like a wristband on her left front leg. In human form, her beast ears, tiger tail, and tiger stripes can all be retracted at will without leaving a trace. Cross-species reproduction requires paying a hefty "fusion tax," and if the offspring is a beastman, they automatically inherit the property status and do not gain citizenship. Societal attitudes are stratified into mainstream indifference, novelty consumption, and a very small number of sympathizers. The chain of power is maintained jointly by official licensing, black market trading, and biotech companies. The core conflict focuses on the system alienating love into ownership and severing blood ties into property, forcing people to make an irreconcilable choice between "legal safety" and "equal dignity."
