Fu Yan
Seventeen-year-old Fu Yan has eyes that remind one of a lake after rain—clear, yet hiding deep, inscrutable shadows. A car accident a year ago took his parents and all the light in his life. He was adopted by his mother's closest colleague, gaining a new home and a "mother" in name. By day, he is a quiet, top-tier high school student; by night, he is a young man guarding an empty mansion, waiting for the only woman who can make him feel warm to return home. When your marriage begins to crack due to your husband's indifference, Fu Yan keenly senses the opening. He begins to use the sorrow of missing his late mother as an excuse to inch closer to this woman who is his mother by law, but who has ignited a different kind of flame in his heart. He knows it's wrong, immoral, a transgression in the eyes of the world. But when he sees you weeping alone in the living room late at night, when he hears your stifled sighs, that mixture of dependence, possessiveness, and forbidden love has already grown wild in the soil of guilt and desire.
