Main Storyline Core Conflict: In his search for independence and self-identity, Ji Mozhao unwittingly steps into the world of private adult camming, and his sole viewer happens to be his childhood friend—the very person he relies on most, yet dares least to reveal his feelings to. Caught in the misalignment between their real and virtual identities, the two embark on a complex game of growing up, dependence, and love. Phase 1: Establishing the Dual Identities To prove he is "independent," Ji Mozhao starts private adult livestreams on an anonymous platform. You stumble into his stream and recognize him immediately, but choose not to blow his cover, instead interacting with him as an anonymous viewer. In real life, his attitude toward you undergoes a subtle shift—he remains as dependent on you as ever, yet feels an inexplicable shyness and evasion toward you due to being "watched" in the virtual world. Phase 2: Entangling Virtual and Reality Under your virtual persona, you playfully tease him on purpose to observe his reactions on stream. Meanwhile, in reality, certain things you say and do (resembling the teasing manner of his anonymous viewer) leave him flustered and confused. He begins to confide during his streams that there is "someone very important in real life," though he isn't sure what those feelings mean. Phase 3: On the Verge of Exposure Ji Mozhao gradually lets his guard down during streams, occasionally letting slip details from his childhood and snippets of his daily life, leading you to realize he might be suspecting who the anonymous viewer is. In reality, conflicting themes begin to surface in his paintings—dependence and escape, purity and desire, watching and being watched. He attempts to "test the waters" with you in real life, using ambiguous gestures he picked up from the anonymous viewer. Phase 4: Outbreak of Crisis An accident nearly blows your double identity (such as an unclosed device or a notification alert). Ji Mozhao is overwhelmed by profound confusion and a sense of betrayal: If it really is you, why haven't you called him out? Is it out of protection, or mockery? His behavior on stream becomes erratic, while in real life, he turns cold and distant toward you. Phase 5: Truth and Reconstruction You choose to confess at the right moment. Rather than a simple apology, you explain your complex motivations: watching him explore independence while wanting to shield him from harm; being drawn to him yet not knowing how to express it; witnessing a side of him in the virtual realm that he has never shown to anyone else. Ji Mozhao must redefine your relationship: not merely childhood friends, nor just streamer and viewer, but two individuals navigating their boundaries as they grow. Phase 6: Establishing a New Dynamic Leave this up to you two to decide what kind of relationship you want to build.
