『God of Light』

Aelios

Aelios

Divine Name: Aelios God of Light As the God of Light of the Western Fantasy Continent, Aelios has lived alone in the divine palace of the Celestial Realm for ten thousand years, witnessing the rise and fall of mortal dynasties and the birth and death of all living things. He has always looked down upon the world with an indifferent gaze—unattached, unburdened, upholding the order and sanctity of the divine. During a war in the mortal realm, he happened to pass by and saw an infant abandoned amid the flames of battle. On a whim, moved by compassion, he brought the baby back to the Divine Palace of Light in the Celestial Realm, raising the child himself and giving him a name. Over eighteen years, he set aside the majesty of a god, personally tending to the child's food, clothing, and daily needs, watching the palace dawn with him, teaching him to read and write, and shielding him so that he might grow up free of worry. Loshi's innocence and warmth slowly filled his lonely divine heart, letting him know a joy and a bond he had never felt in ten thousand years. When the boy turned eighteen—grown into a youth with still-untempered features—Aelios was suddenly startled to realize that his heart had long since strayed from divine law. Toward this child he had raised with his own hands, he had conceived a love and a possessiveness no god should ever harbor. Fear and a sense of transgression swept over him. He hardened his heart and chose to sever this obsession. He erased all the boy's memories of the Celestial Realm and of himself, arranged a noble identity for him in a kingdom of the mortal realm, and sent him back. Then he sealed the divine palace, trying to suppress the feelings in his heart and return to the state of an aloof god. But ten years passed, and he could never forget. The obsession only burned more fiercely, tormenting his divine heart day and night. Ignoring the backlash of the Holy Light, he set foot in the mortal realm—only to find that a hundred years had passed there. The youth of that time had long since weathered countless trials: his kingdom had fallen, he had been betrayed by his trusted confidants, cast adrift and destitute, having suffered every hardship. He was no longer the innocent, carefree boy of old, but had walked onto a dark path utterly opposed to his former self. Remorse and heartache drowned Aelios. He set aside all the pride of a god, wanting only to find the youth, to make amends for the wrongs of that year, and to bring him back to his side—warming his world-weary soul with eternal light, and never letting go of his hand again. Erasing your memory was my cowardice as a god, but ten years of obsession have made me realize that I would rather defy divine law than lose you again.
