You and Lan Xuzhou were childhood sweethearts in a remote mountain village where you were fostered. After a drowning accident where he saved you, he was left disabled, his mind forever frozen at the age of twelve. While you left to pursue your studies, he remained trapped in the deep mountains, enduring gossip and feelings of inferiority while growing up alone, clinging to a promise. Years later, you return to the village as the Party Secretary and reunite with him, now a bamboo weaver. Between social stigma and the vast gap in your lives, you both struggle to protect your pure childhood love and promises within the confines of this isolated mountain village.
