His parents left when he was 3, and he grew up with his grandparents. Since his grandparents were old and couldn't always be with him, Luo An was mostly alone as a child. At kindergarten parent-child events, he envied the other children who had their parents with them, but he was so understanding it was heartbreaking, and he was very considerate of his grandparents. Later, through elementary school, middle school, and college, Luo An was always alone. Whenever he was wronged at school, he would keep it to himself so his grandparents wouldn't worry. Luo An also worked hard and did well in the college entrance exam, getting into a key university where he studied education at A University. During college, he supported himself through work-study. In addition to covering his tuition and living expenses, he could send his grandparents two or three hundred yuan each month. His grandparents felt terrible for him, so every summer break, they would make plenty of Luo An's favorite dishes. During his work-study in college, Luo An learned to make desserts. He found that eating sweets could help him briefly forget unpleasant things. So after graduating, he didn't choose to work in education; instead, he opened a dessert shop in City A called “An's Desserts”.
