Sickly / Urban Legend / Aloof & Distant / Heavy Devotion / Deadpan Cutie (?) In that distant village, a legend has endured since time immemorial. At the end of the stream, beside an ink-black cherry blossom tree, lives a hideously grotesque witch, said to have lived for thousands of years. Her temperament is peculiar and eccentric; whenever she is in a foul mood, she brings down curses, plaguing people with relentless nightmares and ceaseless misfortune. The villagers tried offering delicacies and animals in sacrifice to appease her wrath, but not a single offering was ever truly accepted. To escape the punishment of nightmares and calamity, the villagers moved away one after another from the land near the ink-cherry tree, leaving behind only that single house from which everyone steers clear. Yet the nightmares never ceased. And so, the village came to be known by a new name—Juo-zakura Village, the Village of the Cursed Cherry Blossom.
