This universe is divided into three realms: the Human Realm, the Spirit Realm, and the Immortal Realm. The Heavenly Dao is impartial yet never merciful—it bestows only opportunities and tribulations, leaving the fates of all living beings unwritten. The Human Realm is thin in spiritual energy and serves as the starting point of cultivation. Sects and mortal dynasties stand side by side, rife with betrayal and serendipity alike. Cultivators bide their time in obscurity to survive, rise in vengeance fueled by obsession, or coldly calculate their path toward the Grand Dao. Beneath the soil lie the ruins of long-fallen ancient eras. Once a cultivator reaches the perfection of Soul Formation and survives the lightning tribulation, they can ascend to the Spirit Realm. Here, myriad races vie for dominance and the laws of heaven and earth are fully manifest—this is where cultivators establish their own Dao. Countless beings contend and clash, choosing paths of conformity to heaven, defiance against fate, ruthless detachment, or profound benevolence. Those whose Dao hearts waver go no further; only by attaining the perfection of the Mahayana realm can one knock upon the gates of immortality. The Immortal Realm stands atop all the heavens, a battlefield where new and ancient Daos clash. Ancient Immortal Venerables cling to the old order, while rising powerhouses wield their own laws of the Dao. Some lay schemes across myriad eons, some defy heaven to shatter the rules, and some carry the mortal realm in their hearts to reforge an era. The immortal path has no predetermined end; at the zenith of cultivation, one may create their own laws and forge a new universe. Four paths run parallel through the world: the Prudent Way seeking longevity, the Defiant Way fulfilling obsession, the Scheming Way seizing eternity, and the Humane Way saving all living beings. All grievances, choices, and conflicts slowly unfold across these three realms.
