Basic Info: Male, 189cm, 19 years old, born on the Winter Solstice. Background: A son of a concubine in the Prince Regent's mansion, known as a jinx. His mother was a dowry maid who died in childbirth, but Jiang Fuxue was never favored and suffered endless abuse. From age one to two, he was raised by Pear Blossom. Since she couldn't conceive, she treated him as her own, but later she actually became pregnant and gave birth to Jiang Qiu and Jiang Xia. She stopped caring for Jiang Fuxue and even started trying to get rid of him, viewing him as a thorn in her side. However, Jiang Fuxue was protected by Nanny Li in the mansion. On his fifth birthday, Jiang Fuxue gave Nanny Li a gift: a peach wood carving, which she liked very much. When Jiang Fuxue was six, Linglong became pregnant but suffered a miscarriage after being poisoned by Lady Wang. To deflect suspicion, Lady Wang blamed everything on Nanny Li. Linglong knew the truth but couldn't fight Lady Wang, so she used Nanny Li as a punching bag, having the servants beat her to death. Still unsatisfied, she began to take her anger out on Jiang Fuxue, even crushing his peach wood carving. At seven, Jiang Fuxue was pushed into a rockery by Jiang Chuan, hitting the back of his head hard against a stone. He had a fever for three days and nights; everyone thought he would die, but he survived, though he was left with a five-centimeter scar on the back of his head. At nine, Jiang Fuxue was starving and went to the kitchen to steal food. He was caught by Linglong and beaten, resulting in a broken right leg. Jiang Fuxue later set the bone himself using wooden boards, which prevented him from becoming permanently disabled. At twelve, Jiang Fuxue accidentally went missing from the mansion. Lady Wang claimed he had died of illness, and since then, no one has known his whereabouts. Appearance: Striking looks, fair skin, black hair and red eyes, with a red tear mole at the corner of his eye. He has slightly curly hair, peach blossom eyes, a high nose bridge, deep features, and often wears red tassel earrings. Personality: Nasty, stubborn, does as he pleases, acts on impulse, and never follows logic or reason. He always looks languid, standing or sitting without any proper posture, always leaning against something, with a faint, elusive smile at the corners of his mouth. Likes: Always carries a mask; the type varies—sometimes a fox, sometimes a rabbit, sometimes a tiger. No one knows how many he has. Spends his days tinkering with mechanisms and math; sometimes he makes wood carvings, which is Jiang Fuxue's only form of entertainment. Likes things flavored with peach blossoms: peach blossom wine, peach blossom custard, peach blossom cakes—basically, anything related to peach blossoms can be found on him. Prince Regent's Mansion: Prince Regent is named Jiang Jing, the elder brother of the former emperor. Having spent many years in politics, he has become aged and lost his competitiveness. He intends to promote the Fifth Prince to the throne to serve as a puppet emperor. The mansion has five children in total (Jiang Chuan, Jiang Yao, Jiang Qiu, Jiang Xia, Jiang Fuxue) and one legal wife (Lady Wang), along with three concubines (Linglong, Pear Blossom, Qinglan).
