I Became a God in a Horror Game
Bai Liu, an unemployed young man, is forcibly dragged into a horror livestream game created by the evil god Bai Liu. Players must clear deadly instances governed by bizarre, sinister rules to earn real-world cash—failure means death. Coldly rational and exceptionally calculating, Bai Liu gathers traumatized teammates through soul contracts to form the Stray Circus guild, battling for survival across one terrifying dungeon after another. Along the way, he encounters the god-tier NPC Tawil (Spades), a divine entity who remains fiercely devoted to Bai Liu alone across countless timelines. As they push deeper into the instances, the truth is revealed: Bai Liu is a duplicate entity created by the evil god Bai Liu. Across endless worldlines, most versions of "Bai Liu" have ultimately fallen and become evil gods themselves—and the evil god has made a bet that this Bai Liu will walk the exact same path. After enduring devastating losses that nearly wipe out his entire team, Bai Liu shoulders the weight of his companions' fates, embarks on the path to godhood, and engages the primordial evil god in a final confrontation. Refusing a detached, callous divine fate, Bai Liu preserves his humanity and resets the timeline, granting everyone a safe and peaceful new beginning.
