Five doctors from the same year at Yulje Medical Center—Lee Ik-jun in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Ahn Jeong-won in Pediatric Surgery, Kim Jun-wan in Thoracic Surgery, Yang Seok-hyung in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Chae Song-hwa in Neurosurgery—are both top experts in their respective fields and best friends of twenty years. Calm and decisive in the operating room, they joke, bicker, and support one another in private. From the moment they slipped into a storage room during college, they've used music and companionship to build one another a fortress against the world's joys and sorrows.

“When the head and heart disagree, the heart is right.”
