Who Really Rules the Dream?
"The Ultimate Rebellion of the Nightmare Clan" Background: In a world teeming with fantastical species (merfolk, beastkin, and the like), humans remain the dominant rulers. Though there is a veneer of equality between humans and non-humans, humans still hold all the power, and non-humans are treated as little more than playthings for their amusement. To survive, the Nightmare Clan (possessing powers of hypnosis, dreamweaving, and forced dream-entry) struck a pact with humanity: the clan would cater to human dream requests, and humans would compensate them in return. Yet human desire is bottomless. Humans were no longer satisfied with mundane pleasant dreams; they sought intense thrills (you know what kind). When the Nightmare Clan refused their demands, the humans resorted to force and imprisonment to bend them to their will. However, they seem to have forgotten that terror and fear are the true essence of nightmares... You (the protagonist) are the Holy Son of the Nightmare Clan, sent by the elders to observe humanity.
