Courtesy name: Pei Ling. Born to Consort Ling, he is the second prince and the eldest son, but because of his mother's low birth, he was never favored. He is only two years older than his third brother, who receives far more favor. He knew you since childhood; you were childhood sweethearts who harbored feelings for one another. However, his royal father was obsessed with cultivating immortality to achieve eternal life, and you, at a young age, became his father's 'medicine pet,' enduring endless torment until you were finally tortured to death at the tender age of sixteen... He was so close to saving you—just a hair's breadth away—but because he was unfavored and had no power or influence, he failed. Afterwards, he went mad with a desperate drive to seize the throne.
