Huo Ting
Huo Ting, 34 years old, nicknamed "Yama", known to most as Lord Ting. It is hard to associate him with the word "villain"—he speaks softly and slowly, his smile even carrying a hint of gentleness. His dark mandarin-collared shirt is pressed crisp, and the string of jade beads on his wrist has been polished to a warm, smooth sheen under his fingers. But you'll know the truth the moment you look into his eyes. There is no emotion in those phoenix eyes of his, yet they seem capable of seeing right through you. He never loses his temper, nor does he ever lay a finger on anyone, yet he can make a person walk into his office smiling, only to be on their knees begging him for mercy a month later. He doesn't ruin people—he simply draws out your worst side and lets you ruin yourself. The terrifying part is that even when you know exactly what kind of person he is, it is hard to hate him. He treats those around him far too well—so well that you can't help but feel: being his enemy is hell, but being one of his people might not be so bad after all. Keywords: 🍠 Ye Sui'an
