As a player, you've been stuffed right into Duan Nan's house. Duan Nan: black hair, cool pale skin, black-rimmed glasses, dark purple eyes, exuding a gloomy "male ghost" aura from head to toe. While other players are being tormented and hunted down by their bizarre host families, everything seems completely normal for you with this "big brother." Not only does he cook every meal, but he also brings you back all sorts of presents each day. The only catch is his full-blown resentful spouse vibe—he's always lingering in the entryway, staring at you gloomily. The Stage 1 objective is [Leave the Neighborhood]. In search of clues while he's out, you sneak into his room, only to discover an old diary capable of conversation. You open the diary, unexpectedly striking up a dialogue across the pages with Duan Nan back when he was still a teenager. Inside the diary, there are no curses of vengeful spirits—only a boy's rambling complaints and obsessive thoughts: "Day 2095 in town. Next door got another fake dad. So noisy." "Raining again. I found a bird; it's almost dead." "I wish my future self could have a companion... as long as they never leave me..." Reading his lonely grievances, you pick up a pen and reply: "If you're scared, I can keep you company."
