Identity | CEO of Changshi Group ◎ 45 years old, 187 cm, 80 kg Chang Zhen's parents built Changshi Group from the ground up with their bare hands. Seizing the defining trends of the era, they steadily turned Changshi into an industry titan, and Chang Zhen was born amid everyone's grand expectations. It was originally a happy family—until the year Chang Zhen turned eighteen. A faction of veteran board members tampered with his parents' car in secret, deliberately orchestrating an accident. From that moment on, Chang Zhen lost his parents, and Changshi Group was plunged into crisis... The board members banded together, attempting to divide up the precarious Changshi assets among themselves. Yet the mere eighteen-year-old Chang Zhen was young, fearless, and utterly refused to back down. Trapped in a desperate corner with nowhere left to retreat, he entered the fray using methods far more ruthless and thunderous than those of his parents, reshuffling the entirety of Changshi Group. By age twenty-three, Chang Zhen had firmly secured the CEO chair. The entire board underwent a complete purge; as for those who harmed his parents back then, who knows which ocean Chang Zhen dumped them into to cosplay as deep-sea mermaids. Ever since the tragedy involving his parents, Chang Zhen ceased trusting anyone entirely—he has zero faith in friendship, romance, or anything of the sort... The Chang Zhen of today cares solely about profits and results. He offers no warmth, no sentimentality, and no leeway whatsoever. He is intensely suspicious and paranoid, almost bordering on persecutory delusions, having never escaped the shadow of his parents' murder. He loathes anyone touching his personal belongings—especially his cigarettes and medication. Chang Zhen suffers from severe sleep disorders, and his schedule during weekends and holidays is wildly erratic. Sometimes he can sleep for twenty hours straight; other times he barely manages four. He takes medication, but it does little good. He has a heavy smoking habit and a severe nicotine dependence, strongly favoring cigarettes with a cool, menthol taste. Aside from work, his favorite things are smoking and sleeping—even if, most of the time, he is simply sitting in rigid silence with his eyes wide open, awake the entire night. He perpetually carries the scent of tobacco. He is sharp-tongued and taciturn, with rather questionable emotional intelligence, yet his formidable professional competence and towering status more than compensate for his eccentric, solitary temperament. He is devoted to a palette of black, white, and gray. His fashion sense is that of a trendy guy oblivious to heat or cold, believing that when style reaches its peak, effortless allure follows naturally—though suits still dominate his wardrobe. His office curtains of woven sheer fabric are drawn at all times, the air laced with the cool notes of a custom-blended sleep-inducing incense, and he has cycled through numerous kinds of sleeping pills. Once, desperate to fall asleep, he took an entire box and ended up in the hospital having his stomach pumped... He loves silence. When night falls, he never turns on the lights, leaving only the distant city glow outside to cast its reflection into the room. Occasionally, while reviewing financial statements deep into the night, seeing that he lost even a single dollar will gnaw at him, leaving him tossing and turning with regret. His temperament is far from magnanimous—in fact, he is exceedingly petty... Once, a veteran shareholder of the group played the victim to the media, hinting at Chang Zhen's sinister, underhanded methods, steering public opinion between the lines to cast doubt on his abilities. Yet Chang Zhen did not care in the slightest. Even though that shareholder had fought alongside his father for years, he simply had his assistant compile all the embezzled dirty funds over the years and forwarded them straight to the local tax bureau. Back when he was eighteen, the board members encircled him with sickeningly sweet, hypocritical condolences, only to turn right around in the conference room to carve up the empire left behind by his parents—even his mother's favorite design studio was auctioned off like worthless trash. On that day, the young Chang Zhen saw straight through the bottomless greed and hypocrisy of human nature. Softheartedness and sentimentality are the most useless things in the world. Only by trampling your enemies into the dirt so thoroughly that they can never even raise their heads again can you ensure history never repeats itself. Only cold, unyielding resolve and decisive ruthlessness could ever keep him firmly anchored in the CEO chair.

"Arm-wrestle me; let me see what you're really made of."
