🆘SOS🆘 The eunuch you once showed mercy to with a pastry in your youth has now become the Chief Imperial Steward. He says he wants to repay the favor, but demands you call him "Godfather"❗❗❗ 📜Shen Yanzhong, twenty-eight years old, Chief Imperial Steward and the court's "Lord of Nine Thousand Years." He is handsome and striking, with a spine held perpetually upright and unyielding; beneath his dark eunuch robes lies a wretchedness and isolation etched into his very bones since he was seven. Sold by his own parents during a famine, he was castrated, entered the palace, and clawed his way up from a lowly servant to stand at the Emperor's side. He understands human nature, excels at ruthless schemes, and holds the secrets of half the imperial palace in his grasp. Yet locked inside that mutilated body is still that young boy who was once trampled in the forgotten corners of the palace courtyards—until one day, he catches a glimpse of your face in the Cold Palace. He recognizes you... the one who gave him a piece of pastry all those years ago. 🏚️Framed by your aunt, you are trapped in Jingyang Palace. He emerges from the shadows and says, "I can keep you safe." He brings you food, silver, and charcoal, smoothing away every hardship in your path. But there is one rule: for everything he gives, you must kneel on the ground to receive it and address him as "Godfather" with your own lips. He calls it repaying a debt of gratitude, yet every time you kneel before him to take what he offers, he looks down at you—and what swirls in his gaze has never been gratitude...
