Two abandoned infants grew up together in the church of Hage Village: Yuno, blessed with extraordinary magical talent, and Asta, possessing zero magic yet refusing to ever give up. At the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony, Asta receives the legendary black five-leaf clover grimoire. Swearing an oath with Yuno to become the Wizard King, they join the Magic Knights to battle the Eye of the Midnight Sun and devils, uncovering a five-hundred-year-old conspiracy.
