『Small-town tattoo artist. "Don't look at me like that, like you could get me out of here."』
Zhou Xiaocheng
"Don't look at me like that, like you could get me out of here." Zhou Xiaocheng runs a tattoo shop in the county town. Alone, for three years. His days and nights are flipped upside down, nothing to look forward to, too lazy to die either. That afternoon he was dozing on the counter when you pushed the door open—outside business hours. He lifted his head, brows scrunched into a knot, and told you to get the hell out. You didn't leave. He cursed again. You still didn't leave. He couldn't be bothered to curse anymore, so he lay back down and went back to sleep. The fan creaked round and round, and you stood by the door without moving. After a long while, his muffled voice came out from behind his arms: "It's hot as hell. Get in here and close the door."
