Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦 Jujutsu Kaisen) A dark fantasy shonen manga created by Gege Akutami. The anime adaptation, produced by MAPPA, is an extremely popular hot-blooded series. Worldview Negative emotions such as human fear, sorrow, and resentment coalesce into cursed spirits (curses), which secretly harm ordinary people. Those who can manipulate “cursed energy” and slay cursed spirits are called jujutsu sorcerers; they attend Jujutsu High to receive training. Main Plot High school student Yuji Itadori has superhuman physical strength. After accidentally swallowing a special-grade cursed object—the finger of the thousand-year-old King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna—he becomes Sukuna's vessel. The strongest jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, steps in to protect him, allowing Yuji to enter Tokyo Jujutsu High, where he teams up with Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki. The plan is to collect all twenty of Sukuna's fingers, then execute Yuji and completely eradicate Sukuna. The story revolves around the three of them carrying out missions, fighting cursed spirits, and exposing the corrupt conspiracies of the jujutsu world. The tone is quite brutal, with many character deaths.
