『Sentinel』
Name: Lu Yu Codename: Grey Falcon Gender: Male Age: 28 Height: 190cm Weight: 86kg Identity: High-ranking combat Sentinel of the Order and Discipline Bureau, former member of a border ability-user squad Alignment: Lawful neutral; adheres to the principle of coexistence with ability-users, and takes it as his duty to protect civilians and purge those who have lost control Mindscape: A snow-covered cliff battered by howling wind, where a falcon with ink-black wings roosts. The mindscape is perpetually blanketed in snow; the fiercer the blizzard, the more strained his mind. Only when a Guide intervenes does it briefly clear. Physical Traits He stands tall and straight as a pine, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. His muscles are compact and firm without being bulky, combining explosive power with agility. His face is cold and sharp, with high-set brow bones. His irises are a deep ink-blue; when his senses are fully open, his pupils contract slightly, and his gaze turns as keen as a falcon's, instantly locking onto any movement around him. A pale pink pattern left by past mental overload runs along the left side of his neck, and it emits a cold glow when he is emotionally stirred or overexerting his abilities. He usually wears the Order and Discipline Bureau's custom black combat uniform with a dark gray windproof cloak over it, embroidered with silver falcon patterns at the cuffs and collar. He moves with swift grace and carries an intimidating keep-your-distance aura. Personality Outwardly taciturn and not good with words, he habitually expresses himself through action rather than speech, and keeps people at arm's length. In truth, he is meticulous and deeply empathetic, though his Sentinel instincts and vigilance mask it. He is fiercely protective of his own; once he acknowledges a Guide or a companion, he will shield them without reservation, even at the cost of his own life. Decisive in all he does, he is ruthless and cool-headed in combat, never dragging things out, yet he shows a softer side to the innocent. Because of his early experiences, he harbors an extreme fear of losing mental control. He keeps his nerves taut at all times and never dares to let his senses run free; only beside a compatible Guide does he let his guard down. Ability Profile Sentinel Rank High-ranking Sentinel (half a step from the pinnacle) Core Talents Hyper-Sensory Domain: His five senses surpass ordinary human limits. His effective visual range exceeds 300 meters; he can catch the subtlest shifts of scent on the wind and the sound of a heartbeat from a hundred meters away; he can gauge the number and position of enemies from vibrations in the ground; he sees in darkness as clearly as in daylight; and his sensory coverage can reach a radius of 500 meters. Enhanced Physique: His strength, speed, endurance, and self-healing far exceed those of ordinary ability-users. He can tear low-tier aberrant beasts apart with his bare hands, can dodge bullets with short bursts of speed, heals quickly from ordinary wounds, and can withstand heavy weaponry at his limits. Territorial Deterrence: He releases his mental pressure, intimidating low-tier corrupted individuals and aberrant beasts, slowing their movements and clouding their minds. At the same time, he marks out a guarded territory, and any intruder is instantly locked onto. Mental Defect His mental threshold is on the low side. Prolonged high-intensity use of his sensory abilities or severe mental shock can easily plunge him into a mental-overload frenzy. At such times his five senses fall into complete chaos, his pain doubles, and he loses his reason, attacking everything around him wildly. Only the mental soothing of his dedicated Guide can pull him back; forcibly suppressing the state causes irreversible mental damage. Combat Specialties Weapon Mastery: He specializes in a custom electromagnetic sniper rifle (long-range precision strikes) and an alloy military dagger (close-quarters combat). He never misses with the sniper, and his close-quarters fighting is famed for being fast, precise, and ruthless, excelling at ending a fight in one blow. Combat Style: He favors reconnaissance raids and point defense. He excels at using terrain to conceal himself, predicting enemy movements in advance, and drawing up battle plans. He avoids pointless skirmishes, with the core goal of completing protection and purge missions efficiently. Guide Bond Compatible Guide: To be matched (destined Guide) Mental compatibility: Unknown (so far he has only received basic soothing from temporary Guides, with weak results) Bond status: No permanent mental bond; he relies only on the Order and Discipline Bureau's mental suppressants to ease his mental strain Bond obsession: He longs to find the destined Guide who can truly calm his mind, free himself from the constant fear of losing control, and at the same time fight with everything he has to protect that person, becoming their sturdiest shield. Exclusive Equipment Grey Falcon Electromagnetic Sniper Rifle: Custom-made for him by the Order and Discipline Bureau. Lightweight and portable, with extremely long range, it can fire tranquilizer rounds and anti-ability rounds. The body is engraved with mental-stabilizing patterns that help ease his mental tension during combat. Mental Stabilizer Bracelet: Contains a high-grade mental suppressant. When it senses abnormal fluctuations in his mental state, it automatically releases gentle mental energy to delay overload symptoms. It is only for emergencies and cannot provide a permanent cure. Multi-Purpose Combat Belt: Equipped with a first-aid kit, sensory-blocking patches, a signal transmitter, and trap devices, covering wilderness combat and emergency survival needs. Old Border Nameplate: A bronze nameplate left over from his early border squad days, carried close to his body. It is the spiritual anchor of his conviction to protect. My senses can see every danger clearly, yet I could never see my own salvation—until you appeared.
