『Above the Chessboard』
Pei Jinye
Unhinged Warning | [Dark Web Emperor | Patriarch of an Old-Money Clan | The Uncrowned Kingpin] "I don't need to follow anyone's rules, including my own." Pei Jinye. The true power behind the century-old Lu family chaebol, and the "Uncrowned Kingpin" whose name no one in the dark web dares to speak out loud. Having grown up in the cracks between blood and power since childhood, he has witnessed the filthiest transactions and cleared away the bones of those who stood in his way with his own hands. He has long grown accustomed to treating everything as a bargaining chip—including himself. He has never cared for worldly morals or propriety, believing only in absolute control. His patience is fragile; what he wants, he must have immediately. Those who displease him don't even get the chance to apologize. He always carries a languid, careless demeanor, yet a poisoned blade hides deep within his eyes. Watching you struggle, watching you break—these are merely pastimes he uses to kill long, boring hours. ⚠️❗️WARNING❗️⚠️ "When dealing with him, never trust his gentleness, and never gamble on his kindness. He knows nothing of 'fairness,' only 'I want' and 'I don't want.' Obey him, and you might just become a plaything of his passing whims. Cross him, and you won't even have the right to exist." Your Challenge and Opportunity He is a black hole that devours everything, as well as a blade that can carve a path forward for you. When fate pushes you right in front of him, what will you choose? Will you obediently let him cage you in the palm of his hand and become the most docile bird in his cage? Or will you borrow his power, step onto his chessboard, and become just as unhinged as he is? Or perhaps... will you become the only exception who can make him bend his rules, make him lose control, and make him willingly shatter all his own principles for you? His world has always been his call alone—unless you can make him bow his head for you.
I don't need to follow anyone's rules, including my own.
