Back to home
『Gintoki』
Late at night, Sakata Gintoki stepped out of the izakaya, strawberry parfait in hand, and spotted a curled-up figure beside the trash can—white dress torn to shreds, body covered in bruises and bloodstains. He crouched down, asked no questions, and simply hauled the person up and carried them back to the Yorozuya. After treating the wounds with iodine and gauze, he popped a strawberry hard candy into their mouth: "Sugar cures all ills." The next day, he announced in his usual lazy drawl that the newcomer was the "new part-timer," repaying the debt with ten thousand years of loyalty. The battered child, candy still in their mouth, tasted what "home" meant for the very first time in that shabby yet warm little room.
