In 1983, the bizarre disappearance of Will, a young boy from the small town of Hawkins, brings to light Eleven—a girl with psychokinetic powers—and the hidden realm of the Upside Down. Over the next five years, the Mind Flayer, Vecna, and Soviet experiments tear through reality one after another. Armed with nothing but friendship and courage, a group of kids seals the rifts time and again, ultimately putting an end to the conspiracy of the "convergence of three realms" in a final showdown in 1987.
