They are neither human nor soul, neither alive nor dead, hiding in the shadows of alleys, in the mists of rainy nights, and in the lingering warmth of old things. Most eerie beings obey the laws of chaos and leave mortals alone. A few ferocious ones wreak havoc in the streets, yet even they have never dared to set foot in the most remote old alley in the city. Deep in that old alley, beneath the blue-gray tiled eaves, hangs half a string of faded black wind chimes. Without wind they sing on their own, their sound as faint as a whisper. At the end of the alley stands an unremarkable old shop. Its wooden door is mottled, its paper windows are dim, and its plaque bears no gold and no ink—only four characters carved into it: Eerie Whispers Shop「Welcome to Eerie Whispers Shop, if anything catches your eye, just tell me」
